inergy’s 48V Cooling Fan Driver Solutions for Servers and Telecom Base Stations

Hsinchu – Oct 18, 2023 – 48V power architectures were mainly used to telecom base stations. inergy’s 48V cooling fan driver solutions have been in mass production for tier one partners since 2018. Recently, faced with the raising demand for computing power of servers, the requirements for cooling systems are also getting higher and higher. For better energy efficiency, the computing/server system designs are changed to 48V instead of 12V. Hence the cooling systems are also changed to 48V. inergy’s 48V solutions are stable, reliable and approved into mass production by our customers for years.

iU6321 is the controller for the 48V three-phase fan driver solution. Using iU6321 with 100V P/N MOSFETs - iM4718 or iM1707, which are dedicated for cooling fan, can achieve 48V/1A driving capability. Using iU6321 with gate driver - iT2324D and 100V N/N MOSFETs, the driving capability can be up to 48V/10A, suitable for higher driving capability applications.

To accomplish the core firmware modifications, fan driver designers can simply fill-in the motor control parameters via inergy GUI, which has built-in comprehensive databases. inergy GUI can help designers shorten development time for different cooling fan requirements, and enhance quick response ability to the market demands.
